Courtney, as the proprietor of Sterling Salon, has fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a hairstylist. Her fascination with the world of hair began during her childhood, as she eagerly visited hair salons, perusing style books, and observing the magical transformations performed by salon professionals. In 2010, Courtney embarked on her journey of working at her first salon, and within a year, her aspiration to open and manage her own establishment took root. To realize this dream, she decided to pursue higher education, ultimately earning an associate's degree in Business Administration from MCC.

 

With unwavering support from close-knit family and friends, Courtney's dream of salon ownership materialized, and in March 2023, Sterling Salon officially opened its doors. Throughout her career, Courtney has been a dedicated member of the Aveda community, achieving the status of a Master Colorist with expertise in Aveda hair color techniques and comprehensive knowledge of their product offerings. She has honed her craft further through advanced color and cutting training sessions with notable industry figures such as Jon Reyman, Geno Champan, Jeffery Scott, and Hauns Korpela. Her commitment to continuous growth extends to attending industry-related business conferences, including the inspiring Serious Business conference held in New Orleans.

 

Courtney's true passion lies in creating stunning blondes, fiery redheads, expertly textured haircuts, and voluminous, glamorous blowouts. If she weren't a hairstylist, she envisions herself as a house painter, as she relishes the art of transforming spaces with color and décor changes. Beyond her professional life, Courtney has shared 14 years of her life with her husband Tom, and together they have two young children, Bentley and Charlee. You'll likely hear her sharing endearing anecdotes about her son's amusing remarks or her daughter's charming antics around the salon.

 

Each day, Courtney finds immense fulfillment in her work, evident in the joy on her clients' faces when they adore their hair.
